I Did Not Know Whiplash Was So Painful

I was in a pretty bad car accident not that long ago. I was driving down the Interstate, very happy that it was not as crowded as it usually is, when a car crossed the median and hit me nearly head on. I know it could have been so much worse for both of us, considering the speed that we were going, so I was grateful that I was not injured worse than what I was. As it was, I did have to find a Chandler auto accident chiropractor because of the whiplash and sore back that I had.

The hospital was able to set my broken arm, and they did keep me overnight for observation. There was not much they could do about the neck and back issues I had though. They told me that I should either see a chiropractor or I could take prescription medication to help me with the pain until it subsided. I am not one to take pain pills unless absolutely necessary, so I made an appointment with the chiropractor that the hospital doctor recommended. I was happy that I was able to get in there the day after my hospital release, because I did want to find some relief.

It turned out to be a very good thing that I went, because I would not have known what to expect. I figured it would hurt for a few days or maybe even a week, but the chiropractor explained just exactly what whiplash is, and how long it would take for me to be back to normal. I started getting adjustments done that same visit, and I followed every instruction I was given, including the limits I needed to follow as well as the stretching exercises. I never knew whiplash could be so painful, and I am really grateful that I got the help I needed to make it heal even quicker.
