I enjoy reading the news. I focus mainly on local and regional news because that is where I am most likely going to be affected. That does not mean that I don’t take news at the state or national level just as seriously though. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to read Trump news. I read it for two reasons. The first is because I want to know what my president is doing. He has the most power of any one individual in the world, so I think it is important to see what the news stories about him are.
Some of them are very informative, like what he wants to do as far as keeping the promises he made on the campaign trail. I consider those important because they are the reason why I voted for him. There are others though that just make me wonder when the media is going to focus on what is important instead of try to make something out of nothing. There was an error at the state level in Hawaii where information was sent out to residents that a missile was inbound to the state.
It warned everyone that they must seek shelter, that the missile was imminent. President Trump was on the golf course when this happened. He was playing a leisurely game of golf, which is his right. He cannot be on the job 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some media sources chose to come down on him hard, that he was golfing when this happened. How could he know that a state employee would send out an erroneous message? He does not do everything right, but this is one time where he could not possibly be blamed, yet he was. At least it is easy enough to sort the real news from the silly stuff on the news feed.
